Senses: taste, touch, sight, smell, hear
Muscle Groups ( describe if they should be fast and or strong): The main muscle groups you use for rowing is your triceps, deltoid, and trapezius. You need your triceps to push the row and it makes it go faster. Your deltoid and trapezius is used so you can lean back and pull foward very hardly so you can go faster. Gastrocnemius is used so you can push with ur feet to move the row. The person definatley needs to be stronger whether than faster. Although it helps if you are fast because you have to use you Gastrocnemius to push off.
Mental focus skills: One mental skill is that you have to tell yourself that i will win this event no matter how much it hurts me. You need your mind to be on the same page as your body.

Injury 1:Lower back because of the excessive twisting and hyperflexion that involves that comes with the technique of rowing.
Injury 2: Fracture of the ribs are common.
Injury 3:Pulled muscle in the arm due to lack of stretching.
4. How do these apply to your sport?
Physical: Your body has to be in the best possible shape to compete in this sport. For example, you have to be in the best shape as possible because you will become very tired.
Mental/Emotional: You will get very tired so you have to think very positve. If you think you can keep it up you will have a better chance of succeding.
Social: This is good way to intereact with family and friends. You can also build new relationships.
Intellectual: You have to think about the strategy
Spiritual: You can get the proper exercise to make you happier.

The Olympics have been going on for 100 years .Putting five interlocking colored rings was the idea of Pierre de Coubertin. It represents the five continents that participate in the event. The winter Olympics are special because modern Olympics has a continuous history and because many people enjoy watching ice hockey.
First, there is amazing history of modern Olympics. For example, first modern Olympics were in Athens Greece. This was the first Olympics since being outlawed by Roman Emperor Theodosius (National Events Wrap up). Also, the first Olympics were in 1896 thank to Pierre de Coubertin. The Olympics in 1896 drew a crowd of 60,000 people( National Events Wrap up). For instance, some of the main events were track and field, gymnastics, swimming, wrestling, and tennis. To add to that there were 280 participants and 13 nations competed in 43 events (Info Please Fact Monster). All of these facts add up to the success of the Modern Olympics.
Second, many sports are appealing. For example, Hockey is one of most appealing sport. People enjoy watching it on regular basis (National Events Wrap up). Also, Canada and Russia are always the favorites to win. These two are generally the favorites because that is the only sport they play(Info Please Fact monster). To add to that, Canada has the most medals with 11 gold and 18 all together. They have the most because they have a very rich hockey tradition(Info Please Fact Monster). Hockey is the most appealing sport to many because of the physical contact.
In conclusion, the Olympics are special because the successively history, and because it is enjoyable to observe. The modern Olympics have impacted many people’s lives. Hopefully the Olympics continue to be a success.
